Stepping into the Barksdale House Inn, with its charming porch overlooking the garden, felt like diving into Charleston's rich history. the staff's warm welcome instantly made us feel at home as they shared insightful tips on exploring this beautiful city. Our room, fittingly designed in the Regency Style, boasted comfortable amenities and a cozy seating area where we could unwind after a day of sightseeing. the daily breakfast was a highlight, offering a delicious spread that truly set the tone for our adventures in Charleston. the property, despite showing signs of age in some areas, exuded a nostalgic charm that added to the overall experience. Located just a stone's throw away from the College of Charleston, the inn provided a perfect base for us to delve into the city's captivating offerings. From the complimentary newspapers in the lobby to the free WiFi in every room, the attention to detail did not go unnoticed. We even took advantage of the concierge service to plan our visit to the South Carolina Aquarium, a must-see attraction in the area. In conclusion, the Barksdale House Inn offered a comfortable and welcoming stay, blending historic elegance with modern conveniences. Whether relaxing on the terrace or strolling through the garden, every moment spent at this inn was truly memorable.
